Ulithorne EPOCH Rose 2018

EPOCH: a beginning of a new era

Following true to the meaning of the name, this vintage is a new era for this beautiful Rosé. It’s been a long time coming, but unlike previous vintages, this was produced at home, in The Vale.

Pale salmon in colour, this wine displays a subtle nose of rosewater and strawberries. The palate with red berries, sour cherries, and strawberries shows creaminess, crisp acid, and fine delicate tannins on the finish.

The Source

100% Grenache

The Process

The Grenache is handpicked, partially crushed with some whole bunches, and then two hours of skin contact before gently pressing. The drippings are then transferred to 5-year-old French Oak barrels with some solids for a long, cool fermentation. Regular lees stirring in barrel for three months, before, racking, stabilizing, and then bottling.
