Pale Salmon-pink hue. Fresh grapefruit with a hint of Rose Petals and red fruits of Strawberries. Long, dry fresh finish. 2014 is the 5th vintage made by Rose Kentish at Domaine de la Sangliere, on the south coast of Provence, near Toulon. Vineyard and Vinification are run under organic principals.

The very pale smoked salmon colour introduces a light but classic Provencal-style rose made in France by an Australian, Rose Kentish. It’s clean, well-made and finishes dry and savoury with a clean, long finish. A very quaffable summer lunch wine. Drink young; 12.5% alcohol. 91/100 Points. Food: Taramosalata. Ulithorne’s Rose Kentish writes: “Before heading to France, I knew I wanted to make an elegant, dry Rosé with a pale salmon-coloured hue. After trying varied styles throughout the regions of southern France, I was very happy to create a wine with subtle hints of fresh Turkish delight and strawberries. The wine is made using cinsualt (58%), grenache (33%) and mourvedre (9%). It was made at Domaine de la Sangliere in Provence and is bottled with a cork closure. It’s clear that Kentish got exactly what she wished.”
“It’s (very) pale salmon and the first thing I noticed was the glide of Turkish Delight- like flavour. This flavour is not overt though – in fact it’s deliciously rumoured – and comes in a dry, pippy, crunchy context. Ulithorne Epoch Rosé 2010 (Provence, France) $34; 12.5% * * * *½ Made in Provence by McLaren Vale winemaker Rose Kentish, this blend of cinsault, grenache and mourvedre sits at the paler end of the rosé spectrum. with just a sniff, aromas of strawberry, blueberry, honeysuckle and citrus rind have the ability to transport the drinker to southern France. Flavours of cherry, spice, rosewater and cinnamon have an appealing savoury edge. it’s dry and crisp, with a nice chalky grip and a refreshing citrus and berry finish.
