A deep purple-blood red colour with uplifting mulberry, dark plum, coffee bean and nutmeg flavours. Deliberately a drier style of Sparkling Shiraz. A wine that lets the fruit from the vineyard shine through and offers powerful flavours for food matching without any overt sweetness. Great with Parmesan Cheese, Rabbit Terrine, Xmas Pudding. Drink now or cellar well.

“A great example of sparkling shiraz: layered and complex, soft bramble and sweet leather, seriously delicious” Max Allen, Weekend Australian, Aug 2014.
“What is it about Christmas that spawns an annual outbreak of sparkling red drinkers? I find I can get caught up in the habit, but when I do, I drink Ulithorne. It’s drier than most and less expensive than some. But it has all the complexity and layers the style demands. It’s based on 2013 old-vine McLaren Vale shiraz nine months on lees. The nuance- forest floor, leather polish, soil – comes from a decade of back vintage shiraz being added and some McLaren Vale fortified”. No 1 of 5 Best Bubbles, Brisbane News, Dec 2014.
“I love Rose Kentish’s wines, and this fantastic sparkling Shiraz is no exception. Full of mocha, cocoa, clove and cinnamon spice, its an awesome addition to the Christmas Day table, and goes fab with the Christmas pudding too.” Sarah Limacher (notable Sydney Sommelier), Best Bubbles on Any Budget, Rescu. Dec 2014.
