‘Frux Frugis’ is Latin for ‘fruit of the earth’ and is sourced from Old Vines from the finest parcels of Shiraz from our Ulithorne Vineyards.
Ulithorne produces small batch individual vineyard parcels that are identified as unique to the vineyard, reflecting the micro climate location, soil profile and age of the vines.
Each parcel is meticulously selected in the vineyard. Our winemaker throughout harvest, tastes and analyses each section of the vineyard to select the ideal ripened state and taste profile of each corner of the vineyard.
VINTAGE 2015 – FOR RELEASE SEPTEMBER 2018
“Scents of cherry and damson are lifted by aromatic spices. The soft mouthfeel is filled out with gentle oak, cigars and inky tar notes. It’s dancing but seriously concentrated, with black cherry richness followed by spices and fresh acidity. A balanced conclusion. This is a wine to age.” Decanter July ’18
